A responsible attitude towards the environment
The Saint-Émilion Wine Charter requires winegrowers to adopt a responsible attitude towards the environment. The Château des Rêves team has decided to adopt the most virtuous of all: organic farming. This is the most virtuous of them all: organic farming, which shows the utmost respect for the terroir, nature and mankind.
Château des Rêves aims to preserve the quality of soil, water, air and biodiversity.
Towards organic farming
Since 2021, our winery has been engaged in a voluntary process of conversion to organic farming, under the control of a certifying body.
The implementation of this “green” transition, which began in 2021, is spread over 3 years. In particular, it involves abandoning the use of synthetic chemical products in the vineyards, such as pesticides, in favor of natural treatments. It goes hand in hand with human cohesion and organizational adaptation, aimed at putting people back at the center of the Château des Rêves grand cru production process.
The first vintage to be awarded the AB (Agriculture Biologique) label by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
